Foundation in the Community

Christmas in July was a huge success, with our partners and community coming together to collect hundreds of backpacks, clothes, and school supplies to help foster children start the school year prepared and confident.

Members of the HCFR Foundation joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation for a Cuts & Color event that lifted the spirits of kids battling cancer, with thanks to Brian Ford and Pep Prado. 

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Foundation delivered toys from Station 44’s drive honoring Mason Fox and Logan Stolberg to pediatric patients at Tampa General Hospital’s Muma Children's Hospital, with gratitude to all who made it possible. 

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue firefighters and families climbed 42 floors at Bank of America Plaza during the Fight For Air Climb to support the mission of the American Lung Association and make a powerful impact for lung health. 

Two board members from the HCFR Foundation proudly volunteer with Derrick Brooks Charities, where founder Derrick Brooks recently honored 55+ volunteers for their impact on youth and the community. 

 The HCFR Foundation was proud to roll up its sleeves and volunteer with Paint Your Heart Out Tampa! Our team helped revitalize the home of a local elderly resident by painting and re-mulching, showing how we can make a difference in our community. 

HCFR Foundation joined the Hillsborough NAACP Health Expo & Community Olympics, promoting safety, engaging in fun activities, and showing teamwork and spirit, making a strong impression even in the cornhole championship. 

 HCFR Foundation joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Youth Leadership Program with Big Brothers Big Sisters, engaging middle school students with demonstrations, apparatus displays, and a firefighter obstacle course to teach them about fire rescue and public safety. 

Students from North Tampa Christian Academy explored firefighting and emergency medicine at AdventHealth Tampa, learning the skills, bravery, and compassion needed to make a difference in critical moments.
